Favourite places for sushi places

in between the Annex and Bloor west you'll find this small sushi place that is popular with residents in this hood. Any maki comes with soup, salad, and appetizers; anything with the word "Dragon" in it is delicious!

Superb sushi prepared by 'Jackie' one time apprentice to Sushi Master Aoki Lu (Lily Sushi). Sushi can be pretentious, it can be overpriced, it can be all glitz and no substance... O Sushi is none of those!

Excellent quality and value, in a real restaurant. Suitable for a date, or a get together with friends. Even when it's busy it feels like you have some privacy due to the low lighting. The servers are wonderful, adorable girls. Prices are very reasonable. Wonderful for winter, but the low light and lack of windows make it less than ideal in summer.

This is the best sushi in this price range I've had in the city. It's incredibly well priced, consistently VERY fresh, the wasabi is SO fresh, the fish is outstanding. The service is fast but they aren't rushing you out, the place is fairly big and bright, with big windows and a patio, perfect for summer. It isn't a romantic place, and the tables are quite squeezed in, but hell, if it allows them to keep the prices that low and the quality that high, I'm all for it. I hike up to Yonge/Eg for it!

I love the big comfy seats and the wide variety on the menu.

The bento box options are HUGE and under $15. You can honestly get 2 meals out of it. We always get free green tea ice cream and the service is super-fast. The place is also open until 3 AM, so good for a late-night fix.

The best thing about this place is it serves Authentic Japanese Sushi made by Japanese owners. It's very small, can only sit about two tables, so it's more of a take-out place, but the sushi is more fresh than other places (they must know where to get the more fresh fish/get from best suppliers), so much so that you can taste the difference in freshness. The place is so authentic, it feels like they've welcomed you into their Japanese home and am serving dinner/lunch in their kitchen.

Because this is the only (if not only one of a few) sushi places with a sushi conveyer belt in Toronto. Basically, there is a conveyer belt that moves around the restaurant, carrying sushi on it. Everyone sits in front of the conveyer belt and takes whatever sushi they want. The sushi is not super amazing or anything, it's more of the decor/setting, as it has the sushi conveyer belt.
