they have so many different beers on tap. It's crazy. The staff know their stuff. The patio in the summer is a really great place to people watch.

a stupid amount of pilsers, lagers, ales, stouts and different names for beers that I can't even bother to pronounce or remember (it gets especially hard after 5 pints and slurred speech) Chill vibe and warm atmosphere and great pool tables (although a bit expensive.. $12/hr!)... despite that... I love this place!

Toronto’s true local flavour in craft beer and comfort food since 1988, featuring an "ethno-clectic" menu, 35 craft-brewed beers on tap, fine whiskies from the world over, and a select all Ontario VQA wine list. A casual, relaxed experience, located in the cellar of a historic century old building in the St. Lawrence Market area. C’est What has an "Old Town" charm that appeals to Bohemians and Bay Street bankers alike. It offers diversions such as board games, pool tables, and a TV room...

Hoist a lager while you feast on the barbequed treats...

The Bier Markt is always a fun place to go when you just want to relax and have some casual drinks with friends. There is an amazing selection of beer on draft, and each comes in its own different pint glass. It's good for large groups as well, they'll seat you at huge benched tables in the back. I recommend the cheese fondue as well!

its pretty much all been said :) this is a toronto place to see: astonishing beer selection, delectable foods, priced a little higher than middle class ;) - note: the music volume can make it tricky to talk to large groups across the table. i find it best for a table of 4.

'located in one of toronto's most historic districts - on the city's original waterfront promenade - the Esplanade Bier Markt remains a place to see and be seen. beginning with a selection of over 100 brands of beer from 24 countries, the european brasserie's culinary commitment is defined by season to ensure exceptional quality.' this is the place that turned me to fruli, the most exceptional belgian strawberry beer (70% wheat beer, 30% strawberry juice)
